Inside this piece I am going to clarify the method that I use when cleaning one of my clients drier ducts. The benefits of this agency is the atmosphere can flow throughout the entire dryer better letting the drier to operate much more economically and saving money.
The first stage is really to pull on the dryer away from the wallsocket. This permits you to get into the gap at the wall that leads into the ducts. This is also a excellent time for you to remove the nozzle connecting the drier to the walls and to wash out it too well.
The next phase will be to learn if the vent moves directly out or whether or not it goes through the roof, or in the walls and out the side of the home. In case it goes out the negative, you should get rid of the cover if you can for a more thorough cleanup dryer vent cleaning.
Today you’re ready to clean. I personally use a tool known as the Lint Eater which can be found at Lowes for $39. You might also have to get some extensions to get an additional $20. The principal kit just goes 12 feet. In case your duct is longer than this, choose the extensions.
The kit is just a 4″ brush 3′ rods. That clearly was definitely an attachment which allows one to attach your shop vac to the vent while conducting the brush. I would advise using it. First put 1 3′ rod using the brush into the drier duct in the walls . Subsequently attach the vacuum attachment piece into the strand together with an pole bending through the small hole. Combine the vacuum and you are ready to begin removing all the built up lint from in the ducts.
Work with a typical 3/8 drill and place the rod into the drill. Turn the vacuum on. Power the drill up and gradually move down the brush and on in the port. Then you turn
the drill, and add the next 3′ pole section to the main one already in the vent. Slowly conduct the now 6′ brush forth and back. Usually do not permit the sticks ahead back too far out from the vent while the brush is either rotating or the sticks will twist upward.
Continue to bring the 3′ sections until you have gotten to the cap onto the roofing or are just away from your house. I normally check every so frequently in case it goes out to see how much further I need to go. After affirming that you have covered all the vent, take the drill off and eliminate the sticks and brush.
